A Taste of California History - Part I

Through the eyes of a chef we explore California history and its cuisine throughout the ages.  Starting with its original inhabitants we learn how the Native Americans ate, followed by the foods of the Missions, the rancho, and the Gold Rush, introducing "classic” California dishes and food revolutions originating in this Golden state.  Each class starts with a mini-lesson on the historical time period followed by hands-on cooking by the kids.  Recipes included.
