Special Event ~ Tamale Making Class and Dinner
Learn how to make tamales with Chef Marti
What you will learn:
Masa preparation: Learn to make masa dough from scratch, starting with masa harina. Both lard and vegetable based mix will be offered.
Fillings and sauces: three savory fillings will be made in advance, such as shredded pork or chicken with green mole, or corn and poblano with pasilla sauce, and accompanying salsas, and attendees will take home recipes for each type of filling.
Wrapping and steaming: Master the techniques of wrapping tamales in corn husks and learn how to set up a steamer.
Tasting: Enjoy the fruits of your labor, with a tamale dinner, complete with traditional sides and dessert.

In addition to the class and dinner, all guests leave with:
12 assorted tamales: all guests leave with an assortment of 12 tamales (if you wish to order more tamales, please let us know!)
